Crossing the purple finish line, CDA walkers from Court St. Rita #321, Oelwein, Iowa, raised their hands in victory for finishing the walk and beating CoViD--19. CDA members Can Do Anything!
Court Member Diana Stewart (who took the picture) reports:
Court St. Rita #321 of Oelwein, Iowa had nine participants in their Walk for Love, including their pastor,
Father Ray Atwood. Registration began at 9:15 A.M. in front of the church with hand sanitizer and wipes available after each person signed the donation sheet and chose which National CDA Project or Charity to support. Then walkers lined up with masks on and six feet apart according to pandemic protocol. At 10 A.M. sharp, the route took walkers three laps around the block until they crossed the purple finish line, where they held their hands high in victory. Rosaries were available in case a walker wanted to pray while walking and had forgotten hers. The CoViD--19 tried, but it couldn't stop these ladies because they are Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and they Can Do Anything!!
Court St. Louis #2579, Clarksville, Maryland
Carol Derenge, Regent, reports:
We had 14 ladies join us on our Court St. Louis #2579, Clarksville, Maryland, Walk to support CDA National Projects and Charities. We gathered at 8:30am in the parking lot of St. Louis Church, Clarksville. Our Spiritual Enhancement Spoke leader, Cathie Kaulfuss led us in prayer including the Hail Mary. We walked around the parking lot 6 times for a total of 1.5 miles. On each lap we stopped at the Blessed Mother statue by our St. Louis School to pray the Memorare. At the end we enjoyed a snack of bananas & cold water. A wonderful morning & so great to do something to help those in need.
